Change the Truth Foundation fundraiser

work, work, work.... blah blah... yes, it all gets old so quickly, right?
I am so grateful to be able to work in clay, make work that people love, but it is also a job. I work in my studio everyday from 8am until 4pm, unless I have to go get more supplies, to make more work. As rewarding as it is to work for myself, and create art, there are some down days.
What keeps it fresh is to be able to use that gift to give to others. Special projects for fundraisers keep me motivated, and energized. I always try to create something I have never done before, use new subject matter, invent something. This is the second year I have been honored with the task to collaborate with a child from Uganda creating a doll piece to be auctioned at the Change The Truth Foundation fundraiser. Here is a link to Gloria Feinstein's blog and more information about this incredible foundation. http://gloriainafrica.blogspot.com/

above is this year's piece in progress, should be finished next week
