The year began with a lot of traveling, I love the destinations, but the traveling part of traveling leaves a lot to be desired.
In February I made my annual trek to Philadelphia to attend the Buyer's Market of American Craft. The show was busier than I have seen it in the since I began doing the show in 2008. I think it is a great sign that things are turning around for the economy, and the fine craft scene.
March was spring break for the kids, so we decided we needed to visit the in-laws in France. It has been five years since we were able to visit, and it was a perfect time to go. The kids are old enough to appreciate it, speak enough French to play with their cousins, and it was a good 10 degrees warmer there. On the way out we got to spend a couple of days in Barcelona, Spain, the work of Gaudi is so inspiring.
